sstein
Hi everyoneRight I got a new back wheel then I needed snail cams so I got them, then I needed to thread and make a hole for snail cam bolts, so I did that.I tightened up my wheel as tight as I could and my back wheel is still slipping. I am really starting to get annoyed I've spent about £170 on the back and its its still slipping and the chain keeps coming loose. I'm using Echo snail cams because they are the only ones that fit my Echo hub and rim so can any one help because its getting to the point were I want to sell my trials bike. I don't want to but it's annoying me that much and Ive been doing it for about a month please help any advise. Thanks Kieran. That is how you should have written that. eskimo
If there's room for chain tugs try them. You might have some more luck. If not slack chain is what your have to deal with. But snail cams if set up right should provide okay/rideable/safe tension.
MikeCottTrials
Chain tugs make snail cams redundant
Rob.
You will probably need chain tugs instead of snail cams , I believe you are riding an onza T-mag , I dont think them frames have anywhere for the snail cam bolts to go in , so thats why your wheel is moving/slipping, somebody correct me if I am wrong.Rob.
