Well I ride on my mood as when im pissed off im sketchy as f**k and when im chilled and relaxed im not as sketch. Also on the fact that i rupsured my spleen on my bmx so had to give it up and then decided that I need a change so Trials was the only thing I could do without the consequences of landing in hospital nearly dead with a spleen problem. But I mainly ride because you can ride whatever you want not a perciffic thing.

Skids are officially the funnest thing to do on any bike, ever. Hence why I can't understand this whole bmx brakeless fad :P

there idiots who cant fix there brakes i recon

i like wasting thousands of pounds on impractical bikes, if i didn't ride i'd feel dirty every time i browsed tf. I ride for the freinds i've made/make and the fun we have (Y) i'm not about the inches, but it's nice for some freindly competition

Everyones got Norco disease.

Why can no one ever ride because its fun?

Well i do.

I do. Said so 1 page ago. That's what it's all about, for some, I guess.

As far as the skids go, nothing more fun than riding down a long steep hill as fast as you can go and jamming your foot between the frame and rear wheel of a BMX type bike. Skid till it pops! POW! Hang on cause it gets fun from there. Wouldn't try it on a road bike though. Feel free to let me know how that goes. :P

Skidding through Road bike tub tyres is awesome. (And expensive.)

If you have a crap old wheel, full speed, steep hill, skid, bang, tyre flys of the rim, continue skidding on rim, LOTS of sparks.

Epic success, depending how steep the hill is.

To all the people who say - "trials isnt what is used to be"....i think your speaking pish. I will admit that trials has grown, and evolved into many different things, but the only way i can respond to you is -

Trials is what YOU make it.

So if you feel that it isnt what it used to be then i would say thats your fault, and no-one elses.

The reasons I ride are that I have some of the best mates you could ask for in trials. The banter is always flowing, we demo together, weekend rides together, and we drink together. I also ride to push myself, although in a non-competitive way.

When i go out stunting, friendly competition is the way forward where you find different ways of doing the same lines. Although if i go out on my own it becomes personal competition. i like to push, and try and do some inch pinching, but i also like to learn new moves.

In a psychological way i like to go out on my bike to forget the strains of daily life. I ride to forget about work being sh*t, to forget arguments with people, to get away from washing the dishes or tidying the flat. Cruising around the streets and hopping up walls is a challenge, if im not making something then i think how i can make it, which pushes out the thoughts of the rest of my life.

Trials is what YOU make it.

Definitely. People try to put everyone's riding into a box and that's only viable for TGS riders :P

Out riding in Bristol at the weekend with Mat and Dan we sessioned small walls and steps for hours, without ever thinking "right, we've done everything we can here and now it's getting dull." Good, fun, proper riding just like it should be
