Really informative. Its nice to see bike maintainence carried out by somebody who doesnt bodge.

Er, the whole process is a bit of a bodge hehe You're supposed to use Chris King's eleventy million pound hub tool to remove all the innards...

Good video but why in the world would you want your hub to sound like that!? It's horrific! I'm quite happy with my stealth King :turned:

Okay true true,

But around here to do that job few people would use, A screwdriver, A piece of string, slege hammer and a condom, and then expect to have the warrenty still valied.

It will work very well with old hubs which are a bit worn.

The other technique which Janson used is a bit more complicated but doesn't damage the bearing. It involves locking the drive shell inside the hub and hammering it out. Since the drive shell is locked with all the internals, the bearing, ring drive and spring will come out with it.

can you explain that any more? As in...how do you locked the drive shell in the hub?
