bigamac
Why do you need to swap it? seems a silly idea.
315r
Because this combination only work in UK.... Is no good idea to put hope upside down...
Matt Vandart
Don't turn it upside down, by the way I ride with the brakes this way round too, it's a pain in the arse with hope brakes. I have got hopes front and back now so I just swapped hoses/calipers/levers around till it was right for me. Before that I used a Formula "The one" front disk which has a flip flop lever and has the added bonus of being way light.Click meOther than that try and find someone with a rear hope that wants to swap levers (Good luck with that I tried this for ages!!!)I've still got the Formula brake so if you get really stuck we could swap.Matt
Revolver
Why don't you leave it like it is? There's nothing stopping you learning to use the brakes on the opposite sides. I've switched over a few times.

forteh
Air will get in the system if you run it upside down, I'm sure.If youre lucky and manage to roll the diaphragm into a completely full resevior then you might get away with it, I doubt it would accomodate any pad wear as its meant to. Chances are it wll induct air, just get another hope lever
psycholist
Atmospheric pressure should be enough to allow the lever to compensate for pad wear (It'll support a 10m water column, so a cm of DOT Fluid won't be a problem). The problem is that any air bubbles will tend to end up in the brake line though if you're lucky they might stick elsewhere in the reservoir. Problems like variable brake bite point and sponginess are almost certain to keep recurring though.
Muel
You'd have to bucket bleed the hope to get it completely air tight, you can never get all the air out from under the diaphragm!I'm always really careful when putting the diapgragm back on, but I can never get it right. They're a shite design, I had a set of Shimano Deores on another bike and it was far easier and you could stand the bike upside down on the car without worry.I'd try and get someone to swap, or get an english rear brake and swap the levers, then sell the english rear brake with the left hand lever on in your country, and it will be the right side for a rear.
