SCOTTY___
I'll show you how shit the try alls are later tonight, I took some pictures of mine. It's baaaaaad!I've seen tensiles explode/implode, never seen a ENO die though.Never ever had a problem with my try-all, super, never skipped or anything.ENO's can Explode if not serviced regually. If you want to be able to just get up, ride and never touch your bike, dont get 1.ACS Claws, your a moron for thinking there rubbish. Buy 1 welded, and it will last years. I had 1 for 3years, never skipped, never ever needed service, amazing. If you have £300ish to spend, but a ISO Chris King disk hub. And BED it in correctly.. and send it to tarty for the ultimate service = Win.Never came across Monty / V!Z so no comment.^ above = truth. Muel
I have a tensile and thats what me and my mate and loads of other people have broke. They only have 20 engagement points. Im never getting one of them again. Mine is all mangled up inside, there S**T. I will take a picture of the inside once i get it off and show you how bad it is. Another thing is tensiles are insane to get of the crank arm, ive only had mine 4 months and it broke and now we can't get it off as its so tight.NEVER TRUST A TENSILE, THERE RUBBISH.JamesThey really are not shit. You'll have not noticed that it's shattered a bearing or broken a pawl or something, then just left it to disintegrate. Or did the lockring come loose?I had a tensile for 2 years and 7 months, I only got rid because I got a stock with a Pro2. I sold it on my bike and it was still running perfectly then! How are they hard to get off the crank arm either? They're a complete piece of piss. Follow this and just pull the bar gently, you don't even need to jerk it or pull hard. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_To_...Front_Freewheel

ogre
i ran an eno for nearly a year (swapped over with another bike) it was flawless, i'm the anal retentive type and i would check over my bike every other friday night before saturdays ride, and then with my eno strip and clean the thing religiously once a month. but i respect thats not everyones idea of fun. if i went back to a ffw, or rear fw eno would be my first choice... LukasMcNeal
Has anyone made a video or thread showing how to service an eno.
eskimo
Has anyone made a video or thread showing how to service an eno.OBM typed a thread with pics, it's in the FAQ.Personally i will always go back to an ENO if i go to freewheel again. I dunno why Scotty says that you need to service ENOs regularly because you don't. They come rammed with grease and until this clears up a bit they slip allot while bedding in. After that they're pretty flawless. I'd say i had a solid year out of mine over the period of two years. Parts are available easily and the bearing is also serviceable which probably won't ever need to be replaced or looked at. Considering the Monty, Echo and Try-All are so close the price of an ENO (on Tarty) i don't know why people would bother with the others. I'm also wondering why people are even bothering to look at Echo freewheels considering their previous record!
ManxTrialSpaz
Mine and manxrider's Tensile's have been fine. AFAIK they haven't skipped once. Granted we don't ride often but over the course of 3 years I think it's fair to say that if it's still going strong, you TGS chumps are just too hard on your cranks, trying to be like Damon Watson. But if you really don't trust Tensile, I can say stay away from the 108.9 Try-All. Just for reference, there was video of a Koxx rider (Vincent Hermance maybe?) at a comp with his freewheel making horrible noises and munching about. And if Deng's attempt at freehubs is anything to go by, leave the Echo freewheel alone. Trials-Ladd
Tensile has got to be my favourite by far for the price.
streetjibs
just an update on the echo sl (108)im just home from riding two national rounds in wet, deep mud and constant rain on this freewheel with only about a half hour of riding on it before the comp. It got coated in mud, bike fell into creek and had my big basher ass to deal with and did not fail me once. it just feels stiffer/stronger than tryall and just as many engagements. its only early days but its taken a hammering and continued to do its job without any problems. very happy with this product soo far
