xWeasel
Hello everyone. My name is Isaac, I'm 15 years old, I live in New Zealand and I love the bikez. I've always wanted to get into bike trials since I was 9, after watching people doing sweet as stuff with their bikes. I've tried unicycling before, but I prefer two wheels, lol.Anyway, for my question. What would be a good bike to start with? If this helps, I'm 6'4", ectomorphic, I weigh 90kg.Thanks in advance,-Zack. Edited June 5, 2009 by xWeasel
Mockett
id got for a stock if i were you
forteh
Agreed, go for a reasonably long stock with a lower BB. Something like a long pitbull would be ideal I think, learn the basics on low BB then progress on a higher one if you feel like it edit: f**k me, 15, 6'4" 90kg and an ectomorph, jesus you must be huge Edited June 5, 2009 by forteh
Earl
Hello IsaacMost people start on a 20" (mod) if you know anyone with one I'd give it a try, other wise id get a 26" (stock) as you may get on with one better as your so tall.Hope that helps.Earl. Muel
I'd say just go straight for a stock, there are a few people I know who ride mod who are 6ft, but no-one whos as tall and heavy as you are.

Go to http:/www.biketrial.co.nz and contact him through there.Or if your down south, there are one or two, but I cant recall the websites. tvee rider
Yeah i would definately get yourself a stock because of your height, you will be able to controll it and when you get than hang of things you will sidehop massive. Give us some idea of you price range and let us help you to get a decint bike.Heres a good 26" http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=47 Edited June 7, 2009 by tvee rider

Borat
Hello, welcome to the forums. I would; like the other members recommend get a stock(26" wheels). You would feel alot more comfy on it if you are taller.
xWeasel
Hey guys, thanks for the replies.I don't have a budget now, but when I'm employed (hopefully within the year) I'll probably be spending up to $1,200 (around £460).@ Bol, I'm down in Masterton (roughly 2 hours north of Wellington), but thanks for the link anyway. Jackibrap
A 20" bike relativly new. Not broke and needs fixing. Otherwise you might be put of by trialsbiking. If your tall you maight want A LONG frame.
Jitters
Hi Zack,Welcome aboard! Something else to consider: I'm 6ft and rode XC for a long time before finding trials. I tried a mod and learned a lot, but once I made the switch to a stock bike, I felt much more at home. Probably just because I was used to the size of the bike from experience. In any case, the best advice in my opinion (and already mentioned) is to try one of each out, if you can. I didn't have that option, so I learned by trial and error.Best of luck!
