Onza Man 88
Hi Alex yeah the 4ft bunny hop is just practice trust me thats all it is and trial bikes are a lot lighter than normal bike like mountain bikesand trials tires are big and when say half inflated you get a large surfacearea so its easier to hop on.And most trials riders have Magura brakes not all some use v brakes but both are strong responsive brakes i hope this has helped you out Kieran. Earl
Hi AlexI started on a normal mountain bike when i was 13 it does take some effort but you will get there its just practice, practice, practice.I got a 20" trials bike about 5 years later i still ride a 20" now but also still ride 26" too just not as often.I would recommend getting a 20" now most get on with them and get very good within a year. Also most 26" now are a lot lighter than they use't to be so that is an option too, see if anyone you know will let you have ago on theirs and see what you think. maxxis26
try watching some videos watching the techneique makes it easier to understand how some riders get soo much hightyour bike setup can also make alot of difference mainly bars and stem Edited June 3, 2009 by maxxis26
I am ze best
Everything you do is going to take practice. Even from the start and while your good.A mountain bike can weigh a lot more than a trials. A standard 20" trials bike weighs around 9-10KGbut some weigh less like the koxx silver sky and the monty kamel but then the cheaper ones tend to weigh more.Hope this helped. raoul
Being able to bunny hop high is all about practicing to do the move and getting better and higher at doing it.A trials specific frame will make it a lot easyer to do trials on. A mountain bike or the such, You can learn basic moves on but it wont be anywhere near as good as a trials bike will be. Also running trials specific forks will make it easyer but they are not as essential.
alex999
Thanks guys all of this has helped a lot Does anyone know the best size wheel? im thinking of going with 24" inspired forplay???
Mr Bob
An Inspired isn't a begginers bike really. And its up to what you ride. I ride a 26" its just what you get used to really, since you have a mountainbike and im guessin thats 26" you may be better of going with a 26". Hope it helps..
