What is the difference with the nitro car and the petrol one?

Is the speed differant?

When people say petrol model vehicles they generally mean nitro, as the engines don't actually run on petrol. Actual petrol engined vehicles are available, but they're generally much larger, and known as gas engines.

I suggest you buy a magazine and read it cover to cover, or at least read some kind of guide. A few kids on here going BUY THIS IT'S RATE GOOD really doesn't help you much, you need to make your own decision based on what you want from a car and what appeals to you.

Why waste your money luke on a nitro car, they are wank!

i had one, intresting for about 10 mins

Werd

and how much did that massive capacity battery cost? Plus you can only (safely) recharge LiPo batteries 100 times before you (should) throw them away. They're also arguably even more dangerous than nitro fuel!

Well mine set me back £80, but that's a large capacity and endurance specific, you could pick up a couple of 2000m/a Ni-Mh stick packs for £40, and my brushless motor and speed controller combo was £89.99

LiPo's are only dangerous if your an idiot, the same way that anything in life has a risk, stick to genuine makes and it will be fine.

I think as the RC Car thread is dead I may as well post it here.

Shop I work at is getting an account in these these cars, they are used for RC banger racing, I'm sure the thought sounds revolting to the majority of you but its really good fun.

Traxxas T-Maxx for the mother f**king win! Love mine, don't think i've every broken any part of the car, just a few servos and a receiver... And maybe started to snap the body posts... It's awesome. Tempted by one of those Flux savages but i dunno, electric just needs too much patience.

If you've not smashed a set of bulkheads on your T-Maxx yet you aren't bashing hard enough! I went through 3 sets before upgrading to CNC ones. Then I started going through suspension pins!

I still stand by the 2nd hand Revo choice.

P.S. Electric is still gay, almost as gay as on-road RC racing.
