Rusevelt Posted June 1, 2009 Report Share Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) If you saw the show the day before when Danny wasnt there - the crowds were even bigger (yes maybe the pro riders didnt attend) but the crowd are nuts for what Martyn does - he puts on a flawless show that the average guy who has never seen trials will really appreciate... Also next week the new rig turns up which has a bigger drop in and box and some new features ... PS Some of the stuff Martyn already does in his demos is way beyond what Iam and most others are capable of and is actually constantly improving... he is soooo close to landing a flair on the tiny quarter at the end after his backflip - only really one other trials rider to match that ... oh and can already pretty much do a flip 180 to the deck...You saw me in that video too ... EDIT : Kenny - bust out the No Way Rey teapotting picture .... No disrespect to martyn as ive been fortunate enough to see him ride up close (in 2002) and viewed his most recent demo clips, i just feel his routine hasn't progressed enough in terms of speed, fluidity and link stuff in the way danny links all his stuff together. When can we buy an Ashton effect??? Said on the website May and as far as I know its now June 2nd? Slight design changes....so not long is the answer.Oh and to Rusevelt - Martyns Demo works - in many respects better than dannys - its a top notch bike show ... its not all about impressing trials geeks - its about reaching the masses. Ps, can martyn still throw down his full 360 gaps as ive only seen that unique move in that Halfords bike hut video. Come to think of it, ive not seen anyone else nail a 360 gap on video.
