George.E
What booster is best and what really is the difference between the two? Thanks, Elliott.I use both, 2bolt is slightly lighter but by a fraction but 4bolt is stronger. My 2bolt is an Echo Team, it sometimes catches on my leg when doing flicky moves unlike my 4bolt Echo Urban.Hope this is some kind of help. Gogz-
It all depends on what you want from your booster, 2 bolt boosters are lighter than a 4 bolt. but a 4 bolt booster will stop your frame from flexing better than a 2 bolt. How much does your frame flex? . My friend 3dd has got the same frame as me, I run a 4 bolt booster he runs a 2 bolt my frame almost doesn't flex at all and his frame only flex's like 1-2 mill more than mine.hope this helps Edited May 31, 2009 by Gogz-
pablotrial
this is the third topic i read about this.2 bolt=lighter but might flex4 bolt= a bit heavier but stiff
Muel
I'd say 2 bolt, most frames are stiff enough not to need a 4 bolt, so you can just use a 2 bolt and get more bite.

Muel
Just means the brake grabs hold of the rim as soon as the pads touch it, (lots of bite), as apposed to it not stopping the wheel until all the pressure is on the lever (not much bite).Thats the best way I can think of explaining it.Hold is how well the brake can stop the wheel from slipping when the brakes on full, just in case you wanted to know. sayshell
its simple to decide. dob frame = 4 boltevery other frame in the world = 2 bolton dob frames the brake booster acts as the seat tube weld.
