Mikee
hey i was just woundering what stuff i need and how much it would cost to convert an onza zoot (24") with an 8 seppd gear into a single speed gear thx alex... :$All you need really is a sprocet of the size you want and a spacer kit, as you can use your derailleur as a tensioner. This will cost about £15 depending on which sprocket and spacer kit you buy. And if you dont want to use your derailleur for a tensioner then you are looking at about another £15.Hope I have helped and have a look on tartybikes for the bits. trials biker
All you need to do is get a few old rear wheels, take the cassettes and spacers of the hub buy using a tool called a chain whip and a cassettes removal tool. Collect enough spacers and a 15 tooth sprocket. Then fit them to you trials bike hub, make sure your crank sprocket is straight with the rear sprocket when you put the spacers and sprocket on your hub, use your derailleur as a chain tensioner, it'll cost you nothing.hope this helps
Jack Chinnery
Mate, get yourself onto ebay. Just type in trials bikes, search through some pages, look for the £15 sprockets and £10 spring tensioner. I recommend running the gear ratio of 18:15 or in your case seeing as you are on 24" I would try 18:16. Geting front freewheel would be quite a benifit for you as onza zoots (IMO) weigh a tonne. then a fixed 15/16tooth sprocket with spacers.
