I-LikeMatchesDerFun
How long are the semesters in the uni you're going to? Check the uni's website for the academic calendar and work from there. You'd want to probably move in the week before you start and move out the week after your exams. All depends on your uni really so we can't tell you a specific length of time. Take into account that there will be a break for Christmas as well.Steve

Prawny Baby
You'll need to act fairly fast whatever you do Dave, I think the deadlines each year are around may/June time to applying.if you apply after the deadline, you'll probably still get it, but it'll be late, so you may end up getting your loan in october/november.... manuel
if you apply after the deadline, you'll probably still get it, but it'll be late, so you may end up getting your loan in october/november....Which would be a bummer as it would mean you would miss out on buying all the pointless books you never are going to read .... oh, wait ... On a more serious note - it means no beer at the most important time ...
Tamness™
I love Scotland. Up here it's just a few details and some ticky boxes and I got my letter 5 days later with the some of £1820.00.Tam.
UrbanPoet
Does anyone know if I can apply for student finance, even though I haven't yet received confirmation that I've been accepted onto the course?
PaRtZ
pretty sure the dealine is the end of may.... or sooner.Go to your local council office and explain to them. Say you need the education department. Then go there and say you want to apply for student finance. Google student finance, may even be student finance .com and there the one you need. The book takes a while too fill out, and you parent/parents need that P_ _ to show how much they've end in the last tax year. Muel
I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure you have to have a provisional place first.

Hendrix
Been looking everywhere online for a deadline an can't find shit all.Ring them up in the morning or something, think they're open from 8am.I don't know about changing courses, but when I filled it in online it seemed very "you're doing this course and not changing your mind". Ask them though, they may be able to change it via phone?
Max Quinn
Cheers. It's not a case of changing courses though, cos i apply via route B i don't actually have to decide my final 2 till June 4th. I just left the whole finance thing assuming you would only do it after you've actually confirmed options
Krisboats
You can apply for student finance up to 6 months after the start of term. However you'd need to know the course number and institute number before being able to fully complete the form.
Revolver
I found out the deadline for means-tested, which I'll come under, is the end of june, in which case, thank f**k and I'll do it tomorrow when my brother won't be pissed off when I ask him what to put.
