Hooking

Recommended Posts

Not too good at them myself but:

- Put all the weight on the front wheel when hooking and try not to loose momentum

- DON'T try to go as deep into the wall as possible, that doesn't work. The closer your front wheel is to the edge of the wall, the better.

- Speed

- Legs fairly straight

edit: oh and don't drop onto the obstacle, hit it going forward.

You should hit the obstacle with quite a bit off speed and you should aim for your front wheel so it just clears it. You should have a spring off the rear wheel to then lunge upwards, but your body must follow the momentum from start to finish. Its hard to explain but defiantly easier to watch and understand a video. You shouldn't be hitting your chest though...

Frames and forks love hooks by the way :P

Good luck. ;)

That really was fine.

Keep at it! You can do them better than me - I can't do them :P
