Jack Morton
You might need you're brake re-bleeding.Also if you want a squeek try tar. And to really improve you're braking grind you're rim.
Nickkkkk
have you just swopped pads? there shouldn't be much of a change in spongeyness when swapping pads... Edited May 26, 2009 by Nickkkkk
Ben John-Hynes
1)Bleed your brake, get all the air out.2)Visit tartybikes.co.uk and get yourself a set of GOOD pads.3)Set your pads up completely square to the rim. Luke_zoo
Yes but what does it mean to Grind your rim?Take the grinder to your rim and grind it away so it has sharp cuts and your pads will go into it and your brake works mint! ogre
What the hell, Won't that mean u need new pads like every month? And my dad does most of the work on my bike (he's a bit OLD SCHOOL)good pads last months and months, even on a grind, but if you run something really soft it'll be fine, you only loose pad material if you drag your brake, most of your riding will cause you simply lock your rear wheel in place, just stay away from manuals and hills any pad will last ages!Learn to maintain the bike yourself? if something dies when your out riding he's not gunna be there to bail you outIt seems most rider's parents don't understand the rim grinding thing, you'll realise that when you grind a rim, it takes away f**k all material etc. do a search or something, find the video guide and just do it...
