Laurence--Trials
im getting a trials bike soon, and i know they are ment to have low psi. so what psi should i keep them at ? thankslaurence
Muel
Pump them up fairly hard, then let them down until they feel right. No-one can say what PSi you should run, all depends on how you like it to feel, now much you weigh and how much the bike weighs.
Skoze
And how you ride! For example, i have around 35/40 psi front and rear, other people are running closer to 10.
onza rider..
its how u ride, amd the size and the weight and justed how confertbloe it is for you and so tht u do rim often
Earl
i bin riding with 35 to 40 psi for 17 years it works for me but it depends on your style of riding you could be a hard rider or soft rider so start off about 35 its best i think then let it down a bit
siede.
25-30 psi working good (for me)... my weight is about 68kg - about 49,9 lbs - Tyre Schwalbe Big Betty. It all depends on your weight and style... Someone whos riding natural needs less pressure than someone whos riding street only (my opinion). Maladie
I would say a safe starting pressure would be around 25 PsiAnd the from there just let out little bits of air at a time until you feel right riding it.
mr_malcolm
25 psi is way to soft to start with, start higher pressure then drop it over time until you find whats right for you.
Adam Griffiths
start with a high psi. you will bash your rims if the pressure is too low as a beginer you will not ride smooth enough to have low psi let them down as you get better. i_wanna_trials
dont over inflate them because i know i did and i went over a little hill and they litraly exploded and if you under inflate when you jump you hit your rim and stuff and it also depends on what your riding i pump them solid and then let out like loads of air jump befre you see them go flat from the bikes own weight. Spektrum
I know Danny Mac runs 26'' tubes at 60 PSI but he also pulls off some huge moves. I'd personally like harder tires because you can feel things better in my opinion, but whats up with Macaskills setup?
Echo-Scott
Normally have 20psi in the front and just over 10psi on the rear.Last time I rode a decent natty comp though, I checked my pressure at the end and I had let it down to 3psi on the rear. Rode nice though.
Muel
Nah maybe 13psi but 3? I run more than that in my motorbike's rear tyre, and that's like 6 inches wide!3psi wouldn't even hold you off the floor, you'd be rimming it just riding in a straight line! J.KYDD
i see no-one has asked what size bike he's ridingmods generally run lower rear wheel pressures as their tyres are so much wider than stocks. anywhere between 10-20psi is normal for a mods rear.stocks riders will rarely drop below 20psi, i run mine at around 27psi rear and 25psi frontbut as someone said before, set them at around 35-40ish and slowly let the pressure out till it feels right

I can be a smooth rider when i try Ill admit it may have been a little soft, But i didnt rim out that often. Maybe one or twice a lap, But thats what Echo rims are made for
LukasMcNeal
If you get off the trian and it's a bit of a ride until you're riding spot pump them up harder and it is less effort to ride there IMO.
mr_malcolm
To above topic, not really any IMO about that. Its plain physics and less rolling resistance.
