forteh
Plain bog standard SD7 arms and lever with coustsinks and an uber light grind Bites when you need it to, modulates when you need it to and holds all the time. Only downside is the noise when you need to slow down going down a hill

Scott Gibbs
You didnt say about budget, price no object xtr vbrake with heatsink pads or phatpads with xtr lever. Or avid ultimates. Avid sd7 brakes are good with a good pad set up as for grinds im not sure about grinds on the front.
Ali C
shimano LX gets my vote, thats what I am running now. Slimmer than avid brakes, lighter too and just as stiff. I have an SD7 lever, nokon cable and Joypad material (until I get my plaz pads)
Luke Rainbird
I can't fault my vees. I'm running Ultimate arms on SD7 levers with Odyssey Linear outers (wilko inners...) and they're perfect for me. I don't ride in the rain much so I'm running standard Avid pads up front, though I've got HS Reds/CNC on the back which would give crazy performance on a front grind
Ali C
I LOVE my front vee, I have already beat my gap to front and up to front records with it despite being off the bike for the past two months. Shame its so loud though

brad1995
you could get a light grind on your rim and get some cheap brakes but buy some great pads for it to give the bite of a magura hs33
