Bit Of An Outing To Lee Mill Quarry

Hello all,

Here's a bit of a vid from an XC ride we went on to Lee Mill last week. It's all filmed with a GoPro Hero 5 Wide camera strapped to the rider's chest. We also have a helmet mount and handlebar mount, so weill be trying some trials stuff with it soon!

It's about 7 mins and there's no music, but gives you a good idea of what fun stuff there is to ride at Lee Mill.

Jon's on the Koxx Air TT (flat bars and bar ends), Stan has a few clips and most of it's filmed on my bike (Koxx Mixx).

Cheers!

Adam

Footage is not bad, i enjoyed watching that. After watching this i was thinking about the heavy duty 16mm old reel camcorders they used for the helmet cam footage in The Collective. Mind you the picture quality on that is pretty amazing even till this day of advancing technology.

So was it a 7 minute dh?

Bugger i have to ask twice...............

Nah its not DH for 7mins straight. Its an XC loop that probably lasts about 25/30 mins, but theirs different roots and stuff to play on along the way. There's some climbing, flat stuff, DH stuff, Jumps etc and a little skills area intended for xc riders.

Plenty of fun to be had!

Nice video, although I would have preferred to see more skids.

Pro: The Helmet cam seems to work better than most I've seen - you can tell what's going which is always nice.

Con: It kept slipping down over the course of the video, but I guess that's because it's chest-mounted rather than head mounted?

Pro: The trail centre looks nice and fast in places.

Con: Is it a bit... Samey?

I want to arrange an XC ride though Adam!

Haha, there were a few skids actually!

Yeah, it was the first attempt and we had it pointing down too much... it was fine when sitting down, but stood up it aimed too low :(

It's only a short lap (about 3 miles) and a lot of it is pretty similar, yeah. Very fun though as you can do a few laps and learn the 'course' to get faster each time.

Defo, bosh me your number (if it's changed?) in an email and we'll get something sorted!
