trials_pimp
Salt Water will kill your bike if left on.Best thing to do is if you do Fall in the sea, is rinse your bike off with fresh water as soon as you can.Dont worry too much, it wont suddenly eat it away, but leaving it on there will cause problems. Dan6061
It'll make your bearings pretty gritty. If you want to do it, either make it first time or get some grease and be ready to service the whole bike after.

Dan81
it'll get into all the bearings and ruin it from the inside out... it all depends if you can be bothered stripping the bike if you don't make it

Mtchell
Should be ok if you give a good hosing down if you don't make it.I had a bike which i use to ride on the beach when younger at parents holiday home, and it rotted in the shed in the space of a month lol
brad1995
I would immediately clean it due to the water evaporating leaving the salt behind to grind main components down.
monkeymoped
the type of salt in sea is really corrosive, hence cars that live by the used rust quicker (they are better quality now) so if the water gets into bearings etc it will balls them up, so you better be sure you can make it or clean your bike quick with distilled water them normal water
