Kel
Hi all,i know a longer fork would change the geometry of the bike but as for handling wise what would be the difference? And i was wondering if my fork is alittle too short?currently my fork from measured 395mm.. was thinking of changing to a 420mm fork..btw i am riding a crescent ilions..and as for handlebar and stem setup, what would be a good combo for my frame?thanks in advance..regards,Kel Edited May 12, 2009 by Kel
eskimo
Wow, old frame. I doubt many people round here know what would be an ideal setup for that. I know for a shorter frame i would use a longer fork to bring the front up, also because i would not be using many front wheel moves on a short bike. As for bar and stem, whatever style of bar you prefer or what your shoulders enjoy. Then a low stem (because you have a higher fork) but with a some length to give you the appropriate amount of room for your height. It'll also depend on the steerer length and how many spacers there are. To be honest i haven't much idea what would be best for that frame. I've not ridden one or even seen one in person. I think most people will be the same. Hopefully someone will see this topic though, who knows the frame.

eskimo
I've no idea on the geo of that Crescent. Seeing as your a full member, i suggest you make a thread titled "crescent ilions" in 'trials chat. That should get allot more attention. For now though, measure up your frame and list that in the new thread, also along with your height and current bar and stem.
