N.Wood
Hard to tell from that pic, but if its not listed then its probably a standard axle. Does it have 2 5mm hex openings each end of the axle?If its standard, then probably £170-£200 for the full wheel, if HD maybe £190-£220 or so. N.Wood
It'll mean its a standard axle. Get 2 allen keys, wedge them in either side of the axle (where the QR would go) and turn anti-clockwise. if something comes off the end, it'll be a standard axle. If nothing happens, its a HD axle and has a lockring with an imperial size allen key grub screw to undo it.
Bionic Balls
you should be able to work out if it's an HD axle from that...does it have that locking ring? (also known as a lockring)edit- the allen key thing is confusing cos he might have these ..? Edited May 10, 2009 by Bionic Balls
N.Wood
Ah yeah, true... Forgot about those little buggers. If it has a grub screw (2.5mm-ish) then it'll be a HD axle as Adam said
Tomm
Clive Leeson does something funny with the hub to make it fit the Leeson. I think he lathes some custom dropout pieces for the 360 dropout thingy. Certainly when I got my frame, I had to send the hub to Clive to get him to make it fit, but I don't think he did anything to the hub itself - just the dropouts on the frame. I know I had a HD axle at the time, but I think he will do it for both HD and normal axles. So in conclusion - it's complicated because Leeson do everything bespoke and it could be either a normal or HD axle. If you can take the wheel out and take a picture of the non-driveside end of the hub, someone should be able to tell you. Or you could ask the guy you bought the bike from? Also it's worth bearing in mind that you might have trouble getting another hub to fit your frame if the dropouts are made specifically for the Chris King.
