JWright
What are the advantages, if any, of front freewheels on a 26"? Im guessing you need special cranks etc? Also what gives you the front freewheel? Is it the BB? Sorry if these sound like daft questions, just need to know. Thanks!
old_man_dan
just means rear wheels are abit cheaper and its easer to replace a front freewheel over a full hub any trials cranks will be fine as long as u have enough threads on them
N.Wood
Generally speaking they're lighter, and move the weight into the centre of the bike which means more enjoyment. Can't use FFW on Middleburns.
Revolver
You don't really need special cranks because most cranks are screw-on anyway. All it is is simply a freewheel, like an eno, tensile, or other, put on the front. You put a fixed sprocket on the back.
