Joejoebeans
Are dirt jump bikes suitable for trials riding? I want something that can be used for trials and just ordinary cycling too. Also, it must come under my measly student budget of £250. Any recommendations on what bike to get would be appreciated.

Joejoebeans
Coolio I'll have a look at doing that. My main trouble would be that I don't know all of the parts that I would actually need. Or what brands are good and what are not. I won't be be buying it for a good while yet so I'll let you know if I need any help. Thanks
pogo
Get a cheap seated trials bike with gears, T-Rex, Base, Any thing like that. Edited May 10, 2009 by pogo
clar1ty
I was thinking the same actually. I have a dj bike which I mainly use for street stuff, getting around uni as well. Wheelbase is quite short and noticed trials bikes seem to have quite a large wheelbase, does this help with balance much? I'm a pretty tall dude, so sometimes find balance difficult when the bike is too small.Kinda iching for another bike actually, might try and grab a cheap one and see how it goes. Ali C
another vote on the base frame, sounds perfect for what you want.
Jackibrap
You can use one for trials biking. But it would depend on what the geo is. Because if it is too short it will be hard to ride. And if it is too heavy it will also be hard to ride. But there is a solution. If you find a bike and then post a link up. Then we can check it out. Then get back to you a.s.a.p. Then you can either buy it or get looking again.
Joejoebeans
I was looking at the base frame and it seems pretty suited to what I want. Would anyone know if/where I could get a fully built model? I can only find frames. Already tried ebay, tarty bikes and numerous google searches
