Which Is The Best Chain

KMC K710/K810 is 1,300kgf and if you really want something beefier, go with Wipperman 1G8 for nearly 1,500kgf with the straight plates. They're pricey but if you're breaking KMC's than you either need to consider something stronger or change your riding style (unless you truly have massive horse legs :D )

Hi, Tibbs cycles in canterbury do a heat treated half link, the man said that if it breaks he will buy a new one for me.

So i recomend going there or phoning them up, say that it is going to be used for trials and you need a strong one and they will know which one it is, the chain is £35.

If you are looking for strength and don't care about weight, you should definitely go with a Collapse. I snapped two KMCs so far, and the second one was going to be fatal...I was quite lucky that day. But if you change them regularly (3-4 months) I don't think you will have any problems.

£6.99 and the best chain that I have ever used. KMC are good but a bit pricey in comparison.

Yeah I completely agree! And they last longer too! I have had KMC kool chains snap on my within weeks and the halfords chain I have no problems with until they are about 6 months old! For the price they are well worth it!
