Rusevelt
I doubt that there are many of these stores around the uk, but anyway i thought id give these a try to stop the local police giving me hassle about not having any lights. As with all poundland items, check that they work and keep the reciept in the event of you getting a dodgy/faulty item that needs replacing. JT!
LMAO at the reflective bands. You should have bought £10's worth of lights and put them all on your bars.
Rusevelt
No, they are white with a slight blue tint. But they work a treat and small enough to fit in your pocket. the ones around the frame are velcro strapped.
r2wtrials
what we want to see is some night time riding with long exposure shots... would look very cool with the lights tracing the way. Edited May 9, 2009 by r2wtrials

Mat Tea Why
I remember that a mate of mine had some clip on lights, he put them on his spokes and it looked awesome. Would it be 'legal' enough if I was to do this?
scary_jeff
I think form a legal standpoint, you have to have a fixed and not-flashing front and rear light, pedal reflectors, and wheel reflectors. But realisticly, if you have any light on the front and back, the police won't say anything to you. If you have additional lights on your wheels or wherever else, this doesn't make any difference from a legal standpoint, but only having lights on the wheels is the same as having no lights at all as far as the police are concerned. Alex Dark
seems like they d be pretty effective, good find
shamus
lights can be flashing, just not patterns, like burst etc if its a monotonous flashing its still legal, most rear lights are like thisbecause the flashing attracts the eye better, providing more safety for the rider

Rusevelt
I give those lights a few days, tops! ive had them for 2 weeks before posting a topic here, and they are still going strong! The velcro strap ones on the frame can switch between blinking and permanently on, and the mini torch on the bars are permanently on. Regardless how long they last, still a bargain at £1 and stop the local police giving you a hard time about not having lights.
