F-Stop Junkie
Absolutley talk to the admissions people. Don't beg, just make your case on the phone, and calmly ask if they would give you a second interview. If they say no, you've lost nothing. Don't ask, don't get. N.Wood
There must be some kind of prevision for this... People have colds, a family member dies, their cat gets run over, whatever... Worth a try , good luck with it.

Rich Pearson
I wouldn't tell them you got dumped, but like everyone else has said, talk to the admissions office and state your case calmly, let them know you'd like to be reconsidered and try again. Like Chris said, you've nothing to lose by asking.Lots of luckRich
Krisboats
i got dumped, not really a good excuse, but still ut didnt help. i wont say that though:PIt's still an emotional trauma, i know someone who had a coursework extension because their flaming hamster died. I probably wouldn't tell them you got dumped, or if you do don't tell them like that. Say it was a break up from a long standing relationship or something. Or even better just tell them you were dealing with a lot at the time and didn't feel you were answering the questions like you would have if you'd been in your normal state of mind. Nick Manning
Dave, I reckon it's definately worth asking if you can be reconsidered. No harm in asking, you got nothing to loose, but lot's to gain.Best of luck mate

Papa Manual
John (AKA Papa Manual) Has been talking to admissions tutors loads and getting stuff sorted that way because of his f**ked up exam boards they use in Guernsy. So whats the news?Actually it’s a scumbag English exam board that is screwing me around . I'm currently trying to claw my way into university this year. If you persistently try and explain your case then they will see that you're keen and be more likely to accept you.
