GOOGLE IT!!

I have tried that, it comes up with a load of crap about doing it yourself and advertisements for bike shops and so on in Darlington.

Go to a place which spray's car's and stuff and they will spray it with left over scrap's of paint and they would prob's strip it down for you awel if you're lucky.

Okay lol, do you know anywhere that sprays cars in Darlington?

I heard about powder coating but I dont understand, if its better whys it cheaper, surely there is a disadvantage of it?

Theres not always as much choice of colour. Its cheaper because as I understand it theres less labour involved. I go tmy stock frame done for £40 and if you put it next to a painted bike you wouldnt know it had been powder coated

Or sand it (i did mine with a brass sandy brush thing on the end of an angle grinder)

Strip, primer, few coats of paint (wait for them to dry between coats, or be a man and do it all in 20 minutes) let it all dry and give it a few coats of lacquer.

Nitromors is like a gel/liquid ... use an old brush to get it in every crevice of the frame. Leave it for 15 minutes and you will see the old paint start to bubble and peel off. You may need to get a wire brush to help remove old paint that may be in the weld ripples etc... but for feck sake mind your eyes, nitromors stings on bare skin and definitely is not recommended for eyes!!

Hose off the frame after all the old paint is off and get some fine wet and dry and rough up the surface of the alloy. For a white final coat get some white primer and cover the whole frame witha couple of coats... let dry overnight and then spray with the white spray can. After 3 or 4 coats, leaving an hour or two between each give it a few coats of clear lacquer. If you are replacing graphics and you want them there for good put them on and give it another coat of clear.

Leave it for a day or two and then rebuild the bike.... job done.

Or if, like me this week, you are in a hurry just wet and dry and give it 3 coats of 25 pence a can spray paint from a sale and slap it back together :)
