Muel
what should i do to solve this?Get a hope? Just take the pads out, clean them on some kitchen roll and bed the brake in again with mud, if this doesn't work, burn the pads out, then sand them, wipe them and bed them in with bud again. James Quigley
I've always been a fan of, soaking the pads in BOILING hot water for a few minutes, clean 'em off with kitchen paper, clean the rotor with water and more kitchen paper. Then put it all back together and ride around dragging the brake a lot so it gets ridiculously hot then douse in water (disc and caliper) and it should bed in soon enough and work like a charm. Simpson
try flying down a hill dragging the brake and then chuck water all over it. Its a dead basic one, but saves you having to take the caliper apart and faffing arround, and it could just work!

Alex Dark
if simps idea fails....boil the pads and rotor ( seperately ) scrub with a green brillo type spongey thing and a dab of washing up liquid...rinse and dry throughlyre-bed in and it should have improved
Dave Anscombe
what ive done is sand paper the pads down as they were glazed in spots....washed them ...washed the disc rotor in fairy liquid and then thoroughly washed it in clean water.....put it all back together.....done the whole ride around dragging the brake then pour water on it.......ive noticed black residue on the disc though .......still getting this horrid squeak .holds alright.. bite it okish.........so i guess now time will tellThanks everyone for the help Dave x Edited May 7, 2009 by Dave Anscombe
