Luke Rainbird
As far as I'm aware, the Leesons will run pretty much any 135mm spaced hub with a 10mm axle/bolts. The 360 dropouts were designed to increase rigidity in the standard XC/Mono setup most riders at the time were running, so you could run something along those lines, but the option is there I'd throw in a Pro II (cue people shouting "KING"...) Skoze
You can put anything in there Nick, you've currently got the quick release inserts. If you change to a ProII phone Clive and he'll make you some new inserts, or i'll do some for a small fee. I've machined the dropouts down on that frame to take a HD king, so you can use any hub you like.
Guest
Im thinking of running a pro 2 just because of the noise they make :wob: then buying a rhino lite xl with black spokes and silver pro 2 :wob: but itdepends if my accoutnant can give me he money for it, or a king but it seems that they either get a uber good review or polar opposite buy them slipping a full rotation or half rotation, and seeing as i smashed my teeth twice already and dont want a repeated experience. Thanks luke ok, would a hope pro 2 with QR fittings fit then that is ideally what i would like , but ive never seen a leeson with a pro
Luke Rainbird
I don't think you can get the Pro II t with QR, they're bolt only for the trials version. Rest of the wheelbuild sound ideal though
Guest
i dont really use the leeson for trials more like "rolling drops" so i wouldnt need the trial version all though it would be nice
Simpson
Just ride your bike Nick and enjoy it as it is, I rode it more than you yesterday.
Luke Rainbird
For the sake of stronger engagement and more EPs plus a more substantial axle, I'd advise you go for the Pro IIt if there's any choice at all. Whilst it'll set you back a little more it'll be worth the added premium, and if you go second hand it won't cost you much anyway

Muel
I'd get a Pro2, my mate has a Mono/XC (can't remember which), it's terrifying, they only have 24 EPs and don't feel as strong as a Pro2.Go for a Pro2 mate! Definately worth the extra £30 or whatever it will cost second hand. They also great when they break because parts are so cheap compared to a king or whatever. Ali C
you can use a QR in a pro 2 trials hub by just changing the end caps to QR versions.
Guest
Stupid QU i know but do all QR hubs have same diameter ( where the actual QR fits in to the hub) so that i can know that any rear QR 135mm will fit my bike
Muel
Yes, they're about 4mm I think. But seriously, upgrade the adapters and use M10 bolts, it's so much better! The wheel can't shift on the dropouts, it's stiffer and and much, much stronger.Thinking about it, you should be able to drill your adapters out to 10mm easily enough surely? Then you don't have to mess about getting different end cones for the hub?
Guest
I if i got a pro 2 with qr fittings i have the axle thing that slots in the frame and makes it super strong (childish term i know).
