Grinding Disks

That'll be fine to do rims with, just don't use it for cutting anything hard. (Y)

I once had a disc that picked up when i was cutting the sticking out threads off a reel I have in the back garden, nearly shot the grinder out of my hands and took a huge chunk out of the disc.

So it doesn't matter that its frayed round the edge!?

i deffinately wouldnt recomend using a cutting disk unless your handy with a grinder and know what your doing. cut disks have a habbit of shattering and if a piece hits you it going to be a serious injury. just use a normal grinding disk or a masonary one

metal cutting disks wear really quickly but there still useable after they start to frey .

if you want a slightly ruff rim for smooth pads use a mop disk to sand the surface but if your after a really deep sharp grind use a cutting disk stainless or mild steel it doesn't really matter .
