Total Cost - £98.46

Front Wheel:

Echo Urban Front 20" (Pink)

They're shite, more have destroyed themselves than survived. Damon Watson killed one in a day or something daft like that.

A pink front rim, and a red rear hub? Sound nasty to me, I'd get matching wheels if I were you, they look much better IMO.

Well i am very new to trials so i'm not going to be doing anything near as big as what he, or really any other rides does.

And yeah thinking about it now it does *sound* nasty, but if i picture a black frame with a pink front wheel and white rear I think it seems pretty nice.

Would look shitee. If u have a black frame then white monty rims with black spokes and white hubs would look lush

What's wrong with the parts you already have?

If your only a beginner as you said just stick with original parts.

Well for 1, the wheels i have atm look disgusting and boring, and I have £300 birthday money still to spend, so why not buy some parts that will help my performance?

That doesn't sound bad actually.

Or,

What about Pink rims with black spokes and white hub? Or white spokes, white hub, white spokes black hub?

id go for a fixed rear hub and get a front freewheel (Y)

Hmm yeah, alot of people have said that to me but i'm not so keen on the idea.

It's not the looks that count.

And as you are validated. With £300 pounds go look in the for sale section and buy a whole bike that is all better quality.

But getting a bike 3 weeks ago and already wanting to upgrade wheels?

EDIT: I'm not trying to argue with you by the way. :)

IMO learn on heavy bike components then buy the light good quality shit keep it until it goes wrong ? best to put your £300 in a bank until you need to desperately use it :)

Hmmm , you do have a point there :-

It's just that i really despise of most of the Onza parts on the bike atm,

especially as i've heard many people say the only decent things they make are the frames.

And I can't sit in my house, watching endless trials video's seeing other riders hawt wheels without my £300 telling me non-stop to spend it on some sexy wheels for my own bike.

I like your idea, it does sort of makes sense,

But then again, won't i learn things alot quicker if I have more decent, lighter parts on my bike?

Well save your money as nick said.

Learn on a t-bird i did and they are good beginner bikes. And there is always someone who going to hate some companies and some who love them.

Don't always go by other peoples words.

Don't spend your money for the time being. Weigh 6 months before you do. Then buy a whole bike.

Good advice there mate, cheers for that :)

And it's a Bird by the way, '09 model.

Not one of those stupid old T-bird's with the stupid looking frames haha.

This made me laugh.

Jack.

I'm happy for you Jack :)

Like my old one you mean. :P

Two things you should upgrade.

Rear brake to a better vee OR to a maggie.

And the front brake to chagne the lever but keep the rest because onza disk brakes are good. :)

Oops haha, sorry :)

And yes I was thinking of putting hydraulics on it myself actually,

And because of the mounts or something will I need 1 bolt HS33's?

And ok mate, which lever do you reccomend?

I wouldn't worry about what the bike looks like.

Regarding Onza parts, they make many good parts. I myself have onza rims on my bike now, and have used and would love to go back to onza bars.

Honestly, save your money! Ride your bike and upgrade when you feel something is holding you back. Breaks are usually the first thing people upgrade. (Y)

You will need EVO mounts to put a maggie on there.

Chain reaction cycles

And for recommendation i can't help. I'm still a noob to trials for that part.

But ask fellow riders that you ride with and use the small questions topic and you'll get someone to tell you good ones.

Oh ok mate, that's a big help, thanks for the info :)

So should i get 1 bolt maggie's for the rear brake then?

If I were you I would replace the bars, stem and forks first. They are really heavy and have stupid geo. That will improve your performance more then wheels will :)

Wow, this sort of contradicts with what JT! said:

And I myself actually think the front end of the bike feels pretty light and the bars feel quite nice to ride with.
