trialsmax04
Im seriously thinking about doing a paint job on my monty. Not 100% about the colours yes but possibly pure white with black handwritten graphics (Monty). My dad used to be a painter (cars) but he sold all his old gear. If i striped and rubbed down the frame, ech primed it, and then areosol and then laquered it would this hold okay?Any one else done simalar?Any specific colours that work?max

Andy P
Surely if your dad used to be a painter...... he's the person to ask? Don't get me wrong, you're likely get decent replys from members here but if your dad was a professional at doing it, his knowledge is going to be far greater than your average trialsing joe.Andy
Revolver
If you sand it down, you won't need to need to etch primer it. You could also just key the existing paint and spray over it that way.

howard-moon
I did exactly what you said, but painted it matt black n looked real good at the time.Lasted maybe a hand full of rides then it started to come off, now it looks a bit of a mess. It's much cheaper than getting it powder coated, but won't last anywhere near as long.Ben

Joe Papasnap Maher
Ive sprayed nearly everyframe ive had. Easy done. Cost abouts 25 quid in primer/colour/laquer, if you do it well.Ive also had a frame powdercoated which was ALOT better and much more durable..and had a result with that, with it only costing 25 also..
