Skoze
in realtion to casual joes comment, you couldnt do that in southend, theres two police stations in town (southend) and where ever you turn there is a police officer lol its getting insane. You could, very easily, it's a piece of piss to dodge said policemen. Mr. Motivator, what happened? Edited April 28, 2009 by Marvin the Martian
Connor Powell
Hel get caught in the long run,If like hes says the camera is looking right at the bike there going to see him cut the lock, but even if it has a hood up or what ever he will still get caught, If the staff have half a brain cell they will go to the cctv, Rewind back to see who locked the bike up, and he sais he uses the station everyday, There just going to pick him up in the station? shamus
If like hes says the camera is looking right at the bike there going to see him cut the lock, but even if it has a hood up or what ever he will still get caught, If the staff have half a brain cell they will go to the cctvwrong, sorry but if you take a little care you'll probably get away with it.A mate had his bike nabbed from below his student accomodation. thats a well lit area busy area (at all hours students ) and he had a heavy duty motorbike lock on it to the bike railings and with 2 cctv cameras from different angles on it,Its less then 200 yards from the main Pymouth city police station as well.the police looked BOTH CCTV footage and stuff and just said 'nope, hood up, can't see his face, can't help, sorry'

EllTG
@ Mr PlodLets say you are actually being serious and assume you work for some public authority outfit.Surely riding trials yourself you must have at least once broken these 'policies' you yourself enforce?Or do you just ride at home on your privately owned property and never ride your trials bike out on the streets. Without lights, without the speeds to go onto the roads. If so why on earth are you on the trials forum, there are certain things that come with the territory mate. Maybe its time YOU were 'made to dissapear'.Edit: +1 to the organised trials mafia! Edited April 28, 2009 by EllTG
Mr Motivator
Success, I have my bike back. That chain was F-tough. I had to put the cropper arm against my shoulder and use both arms and all my strength to pull the other arm towards me. It's not as easy as you see in the movies.I left the chain there, and cut as close to the lock as possible.

Si-man
If they have a bike rental service at the station like some do, chain them all up, then when they cut it, criminal damage. Could have fun.
Revolver
He might be a PCSO. He has something to do with the BTP though. He might be a PCSO, and is wanting to join the BTP. Something like that. In which case, if he tells his skipper, who isn't BTP, then its going to be a bit far out from that guy's reach, no? Trawl through the whole night's CCTV for every station in London looking for someone crouching over an bike (don't even know what bike it is?) for 10-15 seconds? Are they really going to do all that just for one broken link in their chain?I'd like to go to the local dump and buy all the bikes for twenty pounds, then chain all of those bikes along the railing.
