Muel
<pic>well i just sighned up today because i bought this from winstanleys on saturday for 200 delivered which i thought looks good to start onThat's not a trials bike, it's a park/street bike. It might be OK for learning stuff like trackstanding, but getting up walls it straight out. It's got a really high gear ratio, the brakes won't be good enough, the geometry isn't suited to trials at all and it probably weighs about 14kg.If I were you I'd try and cancel the order or send it back if you can, if you want to get into trials you'll only end up changing it for a trials bike anyway.lol il have ago at some stuff anyway and im a noob to some of this stuff the maggie will go straight onto the v brake mounts am i right? and how much we talking for second hand onesIf it has V mounts and you have come Evo clamps for it then it will fit. N.Wood
I started on a GT Talera which cost me £399 and had RockShox Indy C sus forks and a steel frame that wouldn't fit a 2.1" tyre in the back.Trials riders starting now have such better bikes to start them off, anyone who started riding pre-2000 had it so much harder! Mikee
My First bike that I rode trials on was a bike I got from my LBS for about £30. Was ok for about 6 months untill I started getting better and the I got myself a Saracen MAD which was my first trials specific bike. scary_jeff
Well my first bike was a Raleigh AllTerrain, probably manufactured in about 1987 since I got it second hand in I guess 1990 (age 7). It had 5 gears. I'm actually a bit gutted that I can't find any pictures of it online... Did you guys really get trials bikes as your first bikes? I would love to see a trials bike with stabilisers on it
Maladie
Bought new from Tarty bikes for £360. It suits me great as a beginners bike
