James Shields Posted April 26, 2009 Report Share Posted April 26, 2009 to be honest, its 6 and 2 3's. i used to have monty mono trial brakes but now have dual bb5. they still work and lock ect. if you find the right ones, such as a bb7 you will be fine.james. Assuming both are properly set up of course. I always thought cable disks are only really found on cheap stock mountain bikes to try and make them look expensive, but have never really tried them for myself. adamthompson Posted April 27, 2009 Report Share Posted April 27, 2009 Cable disc brakes in my opinion are just as good as hydraulic if you spend abit of time setting. it also depends on your style of riding. I had a avid cable disc brake and i loved it, in fact my mate is still using it and i bought it 4 years ago.
