monkeyseemonkeydo
Boots. Get some.Front brake. Cover it.Nice bike though. I'm still messing about on a 98 Beta Techno 250 but then I'd rather not have to worry about trashing it when I stack it than have a lovely shiny new bike and cry when I scratch it!Where are you riding? Muel
Weight: 67kg, weight weenie? No chance! Is that it? My bike is 97kg, weighes it myself! Pansy. Boots. Get some.Front brake. Cover it.Do you always cover it? I only do in technical stuff, for climbs and steps I don't, I can't get the throttle open enough if I do.If you've got boots, where them! I know someone who knackered his ankle just playing on his mates bike.

Just carried over from biketrials where I always cover both brakes all of the time.
Muel
I always do when I'm riding biketrials, but whenever I get on a motorbike I always cover the clutch with one finger, but not neccesarily the front brake. I realised the other day on my road bike I was covering the clutch. Dunno why, I always use four fingers to pull it in!
Alex-Mitchinson
Have always covered clutch and front brake at all times.
Muel
Must be a modern bike thing, you guys don't need to open the throttle to the stop to get up big steps.
monkeyseemonkeydo
Hehe, you're probably right. With regards road bikes, I got in trouble when I did my CBT (having never ridden a motorbike before) for covering the brake and clutch with one finger... and then for using my knees to balance! I now tend to use four fingers most of the time but do regularly use two fingers on the front brake when I know I'm just scrubbing a bit of speed rather than stopping. that NBR dude
On a mototrials bike I will cover the clutch and front brake with one finger, yet on a road bike I don't.
