Coventry is Midlands. Huddersfield is West Yorkshire and Central Lancashire is self explanitory. I had a look at Coventry Ash, looked like a bit of a pit to be honest (sorry if I offend anyone but that's what i thought). Don't know about Huddersfield or UCLAN.

Im from Huddersfield, well pretty near to and go out there pretty often when im back home. To be honest i think it's a pretty good night out, got a few clubs to go to and it's got a pretty big electro scene if your into that.

There used to be quite a few riders too, not too sure how many of them are left though. I think the uni is a pretty decent one too, i heard it was good for engineering. They constantly seem to be expanding it and Patrick Stewart is chancellor which is a bonus.

If you're not going to get a C in maths; are you sure about engineering?

I'm doing MotorSport Engineering with Oxford Brookes. It's nothing but maths.

i can do maths, just ive seemed to flop the exams lol. not gd. like in lessons ill understand everything, next lesson, forgotten it all, do it abit, remember it all, exams, FAIL

Coventry is a bit of a hole, however it's awesome for riding (there's even some nice rocks here and there). There's a fair few riders local Reece and bigman are close I think... Plus there's loads of us in Birmingham.

Back to the "important" point of actually picking a decent Uni; If you're doing motorsport engineering then I'd almost definitely go for Coventry. It's got the best reputation for automotive type degrees in the country IIRC.

You do realise that you can put any uni down for now and change it at a later date yar? Thats why some bloke told me at a uni I visited. He said that i should apply now (2/3 months ago) and i said I didn't know which uni i was going to and see said, just apply for the uni you think you will like most, and change it at a later date :)

Yeah the National Automotive museum thingy is pretty much next door to the Uni for good reason.

My mate is doing Automotive Design there (and is f**king good at it = bursaries galore for him haha) and the reason he chose it (very high grades) is because of it's reputation in the automotive industry.

EDIT: Another mate who I've not spoken to for ages was actually doing the course you're looking at as well

UCLAN is in Preston so there are a fair few riders around that area (*cough* Tarty Bikes ;) ). I'm not sure about going to university there though, although it's a fairly similar-sized town to Coventry/Huddersfield I think.
