Jason222
So, I've redone marino. I had a lot of gold parts on it with FFW. I switched to a rear chris king and ditched some of the gold parts. I still plan to put a different fork on the front and change out the front hub to a disc hub. More weight savings! Weighs 12.68 kg right now. Edited April 21, 2009 by Jason222

Ross McArthur
Looks a lot better with a saddle on it.If you want to save weight, getting a disc isn't going to help...Your V is probably lighter, probably. How is the frame holding up? Solid?

Solid?I figure I'd save quite a bit of weight if I switched to front 6" disc because of the difference in weight between the marino vs alum echo urban fork. My marino fork is nearly 1400 grams, while my urban is about 800. I figure if I put on a front disc I'll gain 200 or so grams at most over the V brake, but I'll still save a lot of weight because of the fork.Frame is holding up superb. Ollie Histon
How much are the marino forks?
J Trials 31
Why on the longer geo?
Jason222
How much are the marino forks?$45 USD I think. Why on the longer geo?Because 1025 feels too short? 24uk geo is the shortest of the 24" trials frames out there...unless you get a custom frame. I think 1035-1045 would feel much better. Edited April 24, 2009 by Jason222
