Holy Headtube, Batman!

Evening all,

The blue flaked off, i gave it a ghastly 20 minute spray job for the London ride and finally got round to doing something 'proper' with it.

Sorry for it not being as colourful, just fancied something a bit more subtle.

Satin black with glow in the dark stencils, works really well but my camera didn't want to play in the dark :(

Usual spec, Kings, Ultimate, Fattys, big Mono trial etc, with the addition of a different stem geo (80x20* ish) Funn 2.5" rise bars and a Shimano carbon booster.

Gonna get out on more when my knee allows, that slam in Brizzle did me no good :(

Geo is: 1035, 385, +25 (ish), 74* with fattys.

It's sooo close to being the nicest 24 i've seen. The attention to detail is brilliant.

From the carbon hub spacers to the silver cranks (cos everyone knows they are going to get scratched anyway and black just wouldn't be right)

Good to see the Shimano booster too. A good all round BLACK bike is what I like to see.

How are the Inspired pads on the smooth rim? Do they give a nice gradual grab or are they quite bitey? I prefer gradual grab on my 24, easier for manuals as i've not mastered death grip manuals yet lol.

Do the rolhoffs usually fit onto Leesons? I dont think ive ever seen a Leeson without one of the Leeson chain tensioners...

The only tiny problem I have with the build is, the rear tire.

I would say that they are pretty bitey, but damm good pads, I ride Matts bike more than him :P

Looking sexual, no paint battle scars from brizzle then?

Cheers guys

The troll's been on all the bikes i've ever had, not quite sure why...

They're a bit too bitey for me, but then again i have put a tiny dab of tar on for some mega-hold after i got green paint on them :$

Great pads though, would be better on a 'proper' trials bike, but they're fine for me, i've just learnt to be very gentle with the brake when (attempting to) manual.

Yep, Rohloff's do fit, the hanger takes a normal thread size, so you can put whatever on there. Was very lucky when i put it on, perfect chain line first shot!

I've had to machine the actual dropouts down though, to take a HD axle with fun bolts (as i did to my last one) and made new bolts to make it wall work, aside from that it's pretty standard stuff.

Haha, there's one on the back of the seatube and the a fairly big couple of scratches on the dropouts, driveside seat stay and the top tube. Really should lacquer it up :P

Nice on bro, bring on the 24tour :D x

Yes sir, note the stencil on the top tube. Bring on the madness!!!

P.S Edited first post to include geo (Y)
