davey1991
I'm looking to start an apprenticeship sometime in the next few years.I have a vague idea on what i would like to do.Mechanical Engineering with cars etc, this is easy to find, but the other thing i'd be interested in is something to do with building bikes. Not Putting parts on bikes acctually building the frames and parts, somewhere i could learn to weld and get some metal work experience maybe leading to frame and part design in the future. The problem is i have no idea where to start looking, i'm from around nottinghamshire and i would be gratefull for any help.If anyone has any links or suggestions please post them. I'm sure this wont only be helping me.
Si-man
Go to a local college etc, they will put you in the right direction and get the ball rolling. Be aware though, apprentices are getting made redundant left right and center all over the country.

Tom Perkins
I have one at Rolls Royce, starting next year, however before this I was looking for one in agricultural engineering. I asked independent and nationwide businesses and all of them said they take on apprentices. I would suggest asking whoever you feel would be the right person to work with wether they take on apprentices and if not wether they could look into it.
