Hendrix
Seeing as this was discussed before off the record, I thought I'd see if there was any genuine interest in this. There are two venues which are well known - both based near London, any other you can suggest are welcome!Rye House Lakeside Rye House each month has a enduro session which is a minimum of two drivers, but it lasts two hours. £85 per driver if there are two of you.Lakeside does offer this, but it offers it £20 more than Rye HouseAt both venues the karts go roughly the same speed, both are twin engine (60 - 70mph tops). Minimum age is 16 I think for these..If you're interested, or know of other venues - just pop it in here! I've had a few people say this should go forward, so let’s make it happen eh?Rye House.Lakeside. Edited April 20, 2009 by Hendrix
Mowgli
how about gosport or eastleigh, will be more wallet friendly then!

JD™
If I've got a car running by then, I'd be well up for it Rye House looks like a much better track and a better deal, but lakeside is half the trek for me so I'd be happy either way. Hendrix
how about gosport or eastleigh, will be more wallet friendly then!Slow and indoor if I recall. Both these venues are world class, quick and have extremely good karts.looks like fun, but I can't really afford itStart saving now, if we do it next year, you can do it then? If I've got a car running by then, I'd be well up for it Rye House looks like a much better track and a better deal, but lakeside is half the trek for me so I'd be happy either way. That's the attitude man! Hendrix
Crowthorne, 'bout halfway between Reading/Guildford.That's not too far. With a bit of petrol money I'm sure I could detour off. If in doubt, train it to Guildford and I could pick you up on the way through. Just putting it out there as the best time for me Seems like a decent idea - won't be summer then, might be a bit wet though.. I'll phone both venues later this week with a base idea of numbers, and see what they say.Poll added for ease of number counting. Hendrix
What I'm gonna do with them, for the track with the cheapest price - is have it so each person rings up and pays. Just so no one gets stuck paying for someone who doesn't go.Hour per person sound alright? If we do a 2 hour enduro, swap every 15 minutes with the other driver (2 per team) it means you get your 6 required pit stops plus you don't get knackered with driving for an hour non stop! August dates are as follow (for Rye House):12th + 28thLakeside also has this: 4 Hour Race 40 mins practice 2-6 drivers per kart Please call4 drivers are going to work out at £100 each at their rates though; unless Simps knows someone there and can get us a deal? Also have this, though I don't think you'd get an hour in the seat then..Half Day CorporateMon-Fri 9-6pmmin of 15 drivers * Choice of event formats * Bronze buffet * Conference room use * Exclusive Event Host £79per driver Edited April 20, 2009 by Hendrix

This sounds pretty damn good... Especially if something could be done on the price. The other option is 6 per cart, 40 minutes in the seat and £67 per driver.. Hendrix
To add, the nearest train station is Rye House (for Rye House). Train goes from Liverpool Street (London). The track is 10 mins away from the station. Edited April 20, 2009 by Hendrix
