forteh
Sorry, more reptile type stuff :$ It was the IHS reptile show at doncaster on sunday with all sorts of stuff for sale, I went with the intention of only picking up a western hognose but someone waved a 6 week old CB* tokay gecko infront of my face for a tenner so I couldnt say no *CB = Captive Bred here in the UK rather than farmed in the native country and imported, usually results in healthier animals with a calmer nature. Called stump because a sibling had bitten the tip of its tail off, he/she will regrow it fine though The aforementioned western hognose, so called because of the upturned nose that they use for digging toads out of holes to eat them Hes a 2010 hatchling and called bacon. Theyre a burrowing snake and mildly venemous, theyre rear fanged and if they chew on your hand long enough its about the same as a wasp sting, obviously you can have a bad reaction to it in which case youre whole arm will swell up My GF only picked up a single adult male strophurus intermedius (common name is austrailian spiny tailed gecko), hes called dave and is about 75mm long, wont get any bigger than that! forteh
f**k I meant to go to that! Damn it. Was it any good Ed? Was pretty good, the usual stuff with corns, royal and boa morphs and 100000 billion leopard geckos. The september show is generally supposed to be the better one because more of the years hatchlings are ready. A lot of people said it was crap compared to last year, I cant really say but there did seem to be less variation, it was definitely bigger this year but by 1pm the crowds had thinned out dramatically, pretty sure it was busy till 3-4pm last year. Makes me want a lizard again though Just been offered a chinese water dragon for free as a rehome, comes complete with the setup and everything. We havent got the space though, if it was a temporary thing then we could find room but not for permanent
forteh
My GF took delivery of her uroplatus henkeli (common name henkel's leaf tailed gecko) on tuesday night, these guys are endangered and require a CITES index 2 certificate if you sell or breed them! Hes about 9-10" long at the moment and amazing to watch, it can take a while to find him in the viv because his camoflague is so good When theyre relaxed/sleeping they have a little fringe that hangs down from around their body which stops them casting a shadow She is intending to get a female in the next couple of years and see how it goes with breeding. Radfax
Nice hog there pal. I remember Reading about the venom in them, hey are a back fanged snake or something aren't they? I have been wanting a Bosc for ages! Keep talking myself out ofthe idea though. Also want another dog to keep my german shepard company. Tom Booth
Was my birthday yesterday an I've fancied one of these for a while, so I treated myself to one yesterday! Leopard Tortoise, currently unamed, but I'm liking the name Darwin! Quick update on Ralph, he's grown loooooads recently, about 4" now across his shell, apposed to the 2.5" he was 8 months ago . forteh
Nice nail varnish Needs some racing stripes on that shell, perhaps a spring ariel with a racoon tail on top In other news, miss giggles my violent female tokay gecko is now pretty much hand tame, she still bites but theyre generally not hard and shes not so bothered about being picked up now yay! The hognose escaped precisely 1 week after getting him Fortunately he was found within a day or two but with damaged ribs, suspected broken ribs from a squashing injury, had 6 weeks handling free now and it doesnt seem to be affecting him atall

rocktrials
Possums are a right sod, especially on a resort I worked on in Australia Whack 'em with a broom. But they are cute
Revolver
Whack 'em with a broom. This sounds funny. I'd ask you to video it for lols, but then people will probably hunt you down for animal cruelty. And then make a video of a guy in a possum suit hitting you with a broom.
