PaRtZ
I keep setting my brake up mint, but after a while one of my slave cylinder moves. Ive found that its because the magura top mount has deformed slightly, meaning that when I tighten the bolt, its clamping the two mounts together which touch each other, rather than the cylinder being clamped instead. Do I just need to replace the top mount or do I need to do both? Will Arnold told me something about using 2 bottom mounts to fix it? has that worked for anyone else? Thanks

Muel
Yo Matt, How old is the plastic ring? When they get old and they've been used a few times this happens, I'd replace them first, new ones make the brake so much easier to set up.If that doesn't sort it, you can either wrap tape around the slave or just file the mounts down! Oddly enough I used a new top mount with more material on it and it works so far Ill grind the old one down some more just incase though. The tape idea sounds like a plan tooCheers sammmmmmmm
Muel
Must just be flared/bent/mashed. Bit like your T-Lite. You could just buy some CNC mounts and have done?
Ali C
I wouldn't bother with two botom mounts unless your frame had a one piece booster and mount. If your frame isn't PERFECT, then your pads wont hit the rim square.
trialschallenger
seems to me like the slaves arent being grabed by the mounts enough, under the edges of the top mounts there is a little lip file that down a little bit (not a lot though) and there tighten up a bit more but be careful not to round the mounts,it worked for me so fingers crossed itll work for you
Dan6061
I have some of the Try-All clamps, so I no longer need the stupid plastic rings. Luckily my brake is nicely square on the rim all the time, I was expecting my mounts to not be square!
Simpson
Before I wrapped some insulation tape arround the slave, you have to be carefull'ish of not wrapping it too thickly or the mounts won't go over the top of it. Krisboats
I currently have the same problem and i don't know how its taken this long for someone to suggest padding out the underneath of the top clamp. Surely that's the easiest option? My weapon of choice was a piece of popped balloon that i rolled up and stuffed under. Works flawlessly and took all of 30 seconds.
