BigAl
Hey, about midway through January i baught the Echo TR wheelset from tartybikes, after about a month a spoke snapped on the back wheel, the the next day a couple more snapped. In the past week 4 spokes have snapped on the front wheel, has anyone else had any problems with these wheels? Or is it just me being a fat basher Thanks,Alex.

ginger allen echo
All Echo rims are good at snapping spokes, I've found.+1 very true. I've got four snapped spokes on my 07 Urban rim. But manage to keep the wheel true. Need a new rim soon though as i've got a split on each sidewall were the rim is welded together Ginger Allen Edited April 16, 2009 by ginger allen echo
ForrestDump
Glad I found this topic as this was also on my mind. I also have a Echo TR wheel set for my mod, however I have only had two snap which I noticed while fitting a new rear tyre, both the spokes snapped in exactly the same place, very close to where they hook into the hub, similar situation to you? Did you knock them while riding or did they snap without you noticing at all? If I hadn’t been changing my tyre I could have easily continued to ride around with two snapped spokes. I think the main reason for my two snaps are that I have recently been increasing the scale of my drops and gaps, so like mentioned before it may just be wear and tear.
