j-maul
So then, which is best and why. I'm pulling my hair out trying to pick my first bike HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ChrisShaw
Definitely the Onza, the Yaabaa has a 20" rear wheel, which will make it difficult to upgrade, and won't feel very stable on the back wheel as the common 19" rear wheel on the bird. The onza also has a front disc which means the forks and the front hub will 'disc ready'. To get a disc on the yaabaa, you'd have to upgrade the forks, and the front hub.The yaabaa does have some nicer parts, but if you're just starting out your not really going to notice the quality of parts until you've been riding for a year or so.Bird. ChrisShaw
Also, iirc the Yaabaa is vee brake only? How do you mean? They both have v-brakes and v-brake mounts.
hdmackay
How do you mean? They both have v-brakes and v-brake mounts.Naa. The Bird has 4 bolt mounts on the forks which is another added bonus. It's a pity they didn't just make the frame 4 bolt mounts too.but yeah.I'd say get the Bird mate! ChrisShaw
Ah ok i thought you were talking about the frame. Was it last years onza's that all came with 4 bolt mounts, and they had those v-adapters? That made more sense.
hdmackay
Yeah I was thinking the same thing...Maybe they started doing V-Brake mounts to keep the prices down?
t-bird tom
I dont see whats rong with a yaabaa i dont no much about them never ridden one they have good parts on them but i think the onza bird is better.
Joe@Onza
The Bird '09 pretty much is fully upgradeable unlike some of its competitors at thaty price point.
