anthonyas11
I used to use sony xplod 9/9s on my parcel shelf with a 15" kicker mounted in my spare wheel compartment, also had 5 1/4 alpines in the door cars and mouted my tweeters one in the steering rack column and one under the glove compartment. gave an all round sound and that bass sub (with it all running through a 1500w amp sounded amazing. Now im running stock in my new car whilst i wait for bits to arrive. Anthony.

Ali C
So you can have it louder and a better sound? But you don't want it too loud otherwise it can interfere with driving surly? I have always found stock speakers to sound pretty good? Maybe just because that's what I have always had though.

_Owen.
Looks like you boys need to listen to Jarod! Dont get the point in a boom boom stereo! Or this neon light shit. Doesnt appeal to me one bit. But if you lot want to play music loud in your 1 litres, then go for it, just dont see the appeal myself. Simpson
I have 2 in the front and 2 in the back (I think)So you can have it louder and a better sound? So you can sound like some jumped up chav, playing swear words as loud as you can while sat in a car park with your mates, who have brought a sick new upgrade for his car... a bolt on exhaust tip.... not being able to hear anything arround you, (police firemen etc) yea.. full marks for that shit!I don't know about you guys but i cant drive with my music really loud, the only time it goes above 15/30 is if i have a sneeky snout on the motorway and still want to listen to my music but thats it. Otherwise it just totally puts me out of focus and I don't pay enough attention.

It can make your car shake like a mofo if you like that insane bass. just make sure youve not got a cheap/unbranded amp or the sound quality will be shockin. Tim. Typhoon_Rider
I have just built a complete sound system witha few mates from college which will be featured in fast car in a couple of months time. we are sponsord by JL audio and Alpine. For anyone who watches pimp my ride.. the people who sponsor them teach us how to do it . the car we built up was a ford escort. We wanted it to look standard but have immense amountsof bass and have a nice paint job as we spray cars on our course. It has 1 of only 10 in the uk flat subs which is a 12" flat sub from jl which is 1200 and a 1200 standard size jl sub built in acustom enclosure sprayed the colour of the car. Also has dynamat proffing in the entire car (keeps sound in) also has custom built door cars which house our JL audio 6" speakers ( dont know the model) sounds damn clear though. For the head unit we have the brand new Alpine IDA-X303. Got the tweeters built into the doors aswell.Sounds truely amazing considered it was built by some newbies from college =D
