elliott the onza man
I am interested in getting a trials rig, like the platforms and things that are used by the think bikes team. The only reason I want one is because the Police are very fussy in my area so I am having to think of other things. Thanks anyway, Elliott. Dave!
The only "rigs" I know you can purchase are like skate ramps. Like Ali said they are custom made, like the rig onza use they built that in their workshop.only thing I can suggest is find (cough) some of those industrial cable spool? Ali C
most rigs used in demos are alloy to save weight when driving/carrying them around. If you just want them in one place, you could make them out of steel and that would save a lot of money. However, if they are just for your garden, why not just get pallets/logs/cable reels? They are a lot cheaper and can be great to ride!
Sam F
Steal them? I stole a cotton real and about 6 blue pallats from somerfield then i got bored because its shit to ride.
siyross
Have a scan around your area and see if there are any iron mongers that could make the frames for you. Then you could buy wood and make the platform tops yourself. I think that would save you a fortune. You could also contact any local factories and see if they have any old metal frames that they don't want anymore. There are always places that are getting rid of metal in any town. trialschallenger
ive noticed that all the main rigs look very similar to "towers" used on building sites http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/project_images...wersimage_2.gifodveously your not goin to build it that high but there pretty decent to adjust hieght wise and if you have ever used them youll know you can make some madive got one up my perants place ill get some pics of it
