Jamie_Trials
i was wondering if on bikes with no bashplates catch on vertical walls or do the wheels just touchand is it harder or is it actually possible to hook with a bash
trials_pimp
it all depends on the Frames Geomatry. My old GU Physicly couldnt touch the rock ring due to the high BB and Short chain stays, but My Phase can.Ive riden bikes where you could get thin walls wedged between the rock ring and the rear wheel. Also depend on the bash gaurd, and how big it is
sstein
Do you meann you are using a bashring rather than a bash plate? If that is the case, then whether you hit it does depend a lot on the bikes geo.You van hook the bash, it is just harder and you have to go slightly sideways on. sstein
No, if you have a bashplate you can land on it any way. If you have a bashring you need to land sideways slightly to get a better hold.

Nick Manning
If you want to try a hook on a wall, much like you see many other rider's doing. Then it shouldn't matter what your geo is, as only your tyres touch the object your hooking.
sstein
Sorry, I thought you meant bash hook. You can hook fine with either type of protection.
