BigAl
Okay, so i got a puncture, walked my bike home and tried to get my rear wheel off. I got the non drive side bolt out no problem, but the drive side bolt refused. All i ended up with is a rounded bolt, a stuck wheel, and a cut finger. Anyone got any ideas on how to get the bolt out? Its an iron or steel bolt in an Echo TR hub.Need help pretty urgently:)Thanks.Alex

Muel
I've never got that to work, you can't turn the screwdriver hard enough and it keeps jumping out of the slot because you can't cut deep enough without damaging the wheel bolt spacer washer thing. DaNnI BoI
Not sure if this will work because i havnt tried it myself. But try holding the end off the bolt with a pair of mole grips. but make sure they are done up realy tight. Then try twisting the bolt off.Hope this helps you.Dan
Dave!
When you say rounded off, do you mean the allen key slot or the threads?Sealed hubs can also be annoying, you tried tightening the non dirve side back up and then trying the drive side again? If that isnt the case then making some sort of slot for a screwdriver/lever? shamus
grind the bolt edges to oblivion witha grinder until you can get a spanner on it, its destructive and brutal but it can work as a last resorttake care not to carve up you frame as well though.good luck bud

BigAl
Should have been more specific, it was the bolt head that was rounded, its all sorted now. In the end i hammered it down the dropout, took the chain off, and then used all my hammering force to bash it out the dropout, took me a few minutes but i got it done:)Thanks for all the help guys.Alex.
