Ben John-Hynes
I've just taken my tyre off to replace a broken spoke. I seem to have gotten some tyre dust on my rim and now my brake doesn't seem as though it wants to work.Any suggestions on how to get the tyre dust off the rim? It's already got a good grind so ideally I'd like not to re-grind.Any ideas?Cheers,Ben.

Ryan.
Hot soapy water is a chore if you have any old tar still on the rim.

trialschallenger
i tried something along the lines of methilated spirits or white spirit something that will evaporate with no trace but still clean for you, thats if the soapy water doesnt work,id also give the pads a quick rub with some sand paper just incase there is dust on them too
