Onza Ice Frame?

Arn't the monty axels 110mm? But isnt that so you can run cams on the outside.

But! Those ice frames have that other chain tensioner incorporated into the frame, so you may get away with it.

If in dout ring supercycles or tartybikes?

I dont mean the length i mean the width of the axle

The thickness of the axle should be fine.

They are all give or take a few mm the same sort of size, if not then a little butchering is nothing to worry about.

New frame again...?

Thanks mate and yes I have broke my zoo :( by snapping a taper tool in one of the 4 bolt mounts :(

calm down kids. Back on topic

Jamie showed me what he means, looks like something is badly wrong or theres been a huge cockup... Theres a gap inbetween the axle and the dropout of his blade frame. I remember you had to use a certain chain tug which added width the axle, which meant it would sit correctly in the frame. But because the blade has integrated tensioners you cant fit these tugs. Im guessing Jamie wants to know if the ice runs the same tensioner device, in which case jamie, you're going to have to get an axle shim with an outerdiameter of 10mm, and an inner diamter of whatever your axle is

EDIT: Actually looking at the pics on tarty, the rear hub for the frame is a 10mm axle, not fun bolts, Hence why there is a gap on the blade. I cant find pictures of the Onza Ice, but as its a higher end bike, Im guessing that will allow for fun bolts so you'll be alright (Y)

Not going to deniy it but i think your a spoilt bellend.

With the amount of frames you've had you know its going to fit your just using it as an excuse to brag about getting a new frame.

verry harsh wording connor.....Although this kid has had more bikes/frames than i have women.....

try not to be soooo Ummmmmmmm offensive.

he is not braging about getting another frame.......he is genuinly worried about the hub frame set up.i know exactly what he means

Jamie try not to bugger this one up.........make it last you a little while longer than the rest of your bikes/frames

Surely you've got another wheel? You've had like 10 different bikes, you must have another wheelset lying about?

i don't quite understand this , you have threaded 3 frames but you cant get these repaired or helicoiled ?

tartybikes offer a service to re-tap and helicoil frames now and you could help out the economy by taking your frame to a engineer and let him fill the mount and re drill and tap it for you its a 30 min job :S

but there might be a problem with your new frame and current hub as if you use 6mm of shims on the hub the amount of axel that sits in your frame will be reduced which will put more stress on your axel and frame .

Yes, it will. However, if it's a 221 Ti hub, the spacing will be 106mm, rather than the standard 110mm, you'll need some spacers to space it out to 110mm. Most mod dropouts are 116mm spaced, which allows for 3mm of snail cams each side with a 110mm hub, but because Monty are awkward they like to do things differently.
